WINS! VICTORIES! POSITIVE IMPACTS!

This page is to highlight some of the wins we have achieved as a club and to reinforce the fact that we do make a difference in Douglas County and beyond! This list is not all-inclusive. If you think of something we may have left off that you would like to see here, please reach out!

STANDING AGAINST PROPERTY TAX INCREASES

In 2025 we put the word out to get people to show up and show out against the property millage rate increases.

RESULT: Board of Commissioners voted down the increase!

STANDING UP FOR CITIZENS

Members of the club rallied around Eddie Daniell and joined other concerned citizens to attend a public hearing in a show of support after a meeting was called to determine whether he should be removed as Chairman of the Personnel Review Board.

OUTCOME: Eddie Daniell gets to remain as Chairman of the Personnel Review Board!

FORMING OF THE DOUGLAS COUNTY CITIZENS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

We founded the Douglas County Citizens Oversight Committee.

POSITIVE IMPACT: We have brought awareness to the community about the fraud and corruption in the county and among our county leaders and continue to keep a watchful eye to protect the citizens' best interests.

ONGOING SUPPORT FOR THE LOCAL NON-PROFITS AND WORTHY CAUSES

The Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) is our 2026 non-profit philanthropy. We donated to their 2026 Annual Fundraiser in addition to donating charitable items monthly.

POSITIVE IMPACT: In turn this provides the opportunity for the organization to help moms in our community.

As we have done in the past, we are holding a Christmas purse drive this year for the Share House.

POSITIVE IMPACT: These fundraisers help to support women in dire need and give them hope!

MAKING SUGGESTIONS FOR POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY

Our members continue to take an active role in the community, attending meetings with the Board of Commissioners, School Board, etc. and making suggestions like having a mom's event downtown.

RESULT: By being involved and speaking up, this shows we care about our community and want to make it a place the citizens appreciate, feel safe in and want to call home.

AND OF COURSE - MAKING AN IMPACT WITH OUR ELECTIONS!
